Navikauskas resigned from Zalgiris

The GM of Zalgiris, Gediminas Navikauskas resigned according to the Zalgiris Kaunas official site, as he took full responsibility of the crisis that is going through the team. The board of directors of Zalgiris Kaunas accepted his resignation.

In his place Paulius Motiejunas was appointed acting as the GM. According to lithuanian media Zalgiris signed a sponsoring deal with a lithuanian bank, roughly of 650.000 euros, to help the team financially. This was confirmed by Motiejunas and Zalgiris will not be losing any players in the process as they started getting paid. They will play their first game against Panathinaikos in the Euroleague with a full roster.
