Nikos Kalles wants to play abroad

Can the last person out close the door please?

This is a Greek saying which provides a good picture of the latest trend in the Greek League. Nikos Kalles(2.11-C) was not one of the pillars of Paok last season but he certainly is a vital part of their roster, or better their backup center if they had their way.

However it seems that he wants to play outside Greece according to olapaok.gr, which is understandable due to the "cashflow issues" that are plaguing Greek teams. Not all of them can afford to pay their players every month on the month. Some can but Paok is not one of them as the team still has a huge backlog of debts.

Kalles is said to give priority to offers (if any) from abroad. He averaged 4.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in 2
6 games in Greece and also 5.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 6 games in the Eurocup with Paok.
